Overview
The Dental Explorers are fine diagnostic instruments used for detecting caries, enamel defects, calculus deposits, tooth fractures and other dental problems during veterinary oral examinations. Their thin, sharp tips are run gently over the tooth surface, where soft spots, rough areas or catches can be felt that may not be visible to the eye. Dental explorers are also used to check for pulp exposure and to confirm that all calculus has been removed after cleaning. They are made from premium-quality stainless steel with exceptional tactile sensitivity, durability and control, helping the vet make an accurate diagnosis. Many models combine an explorer with a periodontal probe. Dentuf Instruments supplies dental explorers in bulk.
