Burdizzo Castrator

Overview

The Burdizzo Castrator, also called an emasculatome, is a veterinary instrument used for bloodless castration of calves, lambs, kids and other livestock. It works by crushing the spermatic cord through the skin, cutting off the blood supply to the testicle without making an open wound, which lowers the risk of infection and fly strike. The strong compound jaws give a powerful, even crush with less effort from the operator, and the stainless steel body stands up to tough field conditions. Because there is no bleeding, the Burdizzo castrator is popular with farmers and vets in hot climates. Dentuf Instruments supplies Burdizzo castrators for wholesale and distributor orders.
